A Bitcoin address from the cryptocurrency's early days has been reactivated after being inactive for over 12 years. According to Whale Alert, this address from the Satoshi era, which dates back to 2012, contains 26 bitcoins valued at around $1.8 million.

This reactivation is part of a notable trend observed this July, which has seen a surge in the activation of long-dormant Bitcoin wallets. This is the fifth such address to be activated in the past week alone. Notably, on July 25, another vintage address containing 750 bitcoins worth $48 million was reactivated after 11.2 years of inactivity.

The pattern persisted with multiple wallet activations this month. On July 17, an address containing almost $12 million in Bitcoin was reactivated after ten years of inactivity. Furthermore, on July 6, a wallet with an astounding $57 million in Bitcoin resurfaced after being dormant for 10.6 years.

The recent surge in Bitcoin prices has led to a notable improvement in market sentiment. Yet, Bitcoin has sustained a position above the $70,000 threshold for only 14 days to date, and it's uncertain if it will secure a stable position above this mark in the forthcoming weeks.
