Galaxy's Novogratz Predicts Bitcoin to Trade Within $55,000 to $75,000
Galaxy Digital reported a significant jump in first-quarter net income, reflecting the sharp rally in digital assets earlier this year.
According to Mike Novogratz, CEO of crypto investment firm Galaxy Digital, Bitcoin's price may remain range-bound between $55,000 and $75,000 in the coming months. Speaking after the release of Galaxy's first-quarter results, Novogratz suggested that Bitcoin, along with other major cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and Solana, would likely consolidate within the range of $55,000 to $75,000 until significant market events push prices higher.
Bitcoin has indeed been trading within the $55K to $75K range since late February, following its spike to a new all-time high above $73,000 in March. Despite the anticipation surrounding the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs and the recent bitcoin halving event, substantial institutional inflows have yet to materialize, according to Novogratz.
Novogratz highlighted two potential scenarios that could drive Bitcoin's price movement in the coming months. Firstly, he mentioned the possibility of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates if the economy slows down significantly. Secondly, a potential rate-cutting cycle by the Federal Reserve in response to economic weakness could potentially boost crypto prices.
Galaxy Digital reported a significant jump in first-quarter net income, reflecting the sharp rally in digital assets earlier this year. Novogratz stated the growing adoption of cryptocurrencies in traditional finance, noting increased activities such as lending. He highlighted a shift in sentiment, with counterparties showing willingness to lend crypto for extended periods without security, a trend that was less prominent six months ago.
while Bitcoin's price may remain relatively stable in the near term, Novogratz remains optimistic about the long-term growth potential of cryptocurrencies, emphasizing the importance of regulatory clarity and macroeconomic factors in shaping the market.
