Adobe has unveiled an artificial intelligence assistant integrated into its Reader and Acrobat applications, aimed at generating summaries and answering questions about PDF documents. This feature, currently in beta, is accessible on Acrobat, with plans for a wider release on Reader in the upcoming days and weeks. Adobe intends to offer a subscription plan for the tool once it exits the beta phase.

The AI assistant is designed to assist users in comprehending lengthy PDF documents by generating concise summaries of their contents. Additionally, it can interact through a conversational interface, answering queries about the document's information and suggesting relevant questions. Furthermore, the assistant can provide citations to verify the sources of its responses and generate text suitable for various formats like emails, presentations, and reports.
