Apple has released new developer betas for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15.1 Sequoia, which include a host of advanced features as part of the Apple Intelligence initiative. A notable feature is "Clean Up," an AI-powered tool that enables users to eliminate unwanted elements from their photos effortlessly.

The Clean Up feature allows users to select and delete objects from images while preserving the overall image quality. Utilizing artificial intelligence, the tool can create realistic background elements to fill in the spaces left by the removed objects, adeptly managing intricate details such as shadows and reflections to maintain a seamless appearance.

The introduction of Clean Up follows the initial release of Apple Intelligence features in July with iOS 18.1 dev beta. Those features included tools for writing, notification summaries for SMS and Mail, natural language search in Photos, transcription for calls and voice recordings in notes, and smart replies in Mail. Apple Intelligence, currently available only in English for users with their region set to the U.S., aims to enhance user experience by integrating advanced AI capabilities into everyday tasks.
