CodeRabbit has been embraced by the developer community, achieving over $1 million in annual recurring revenue within less than a year.
CodeRabbit, a startup focused on automating code reviews through artificial intelligence, has secured $16 million in Series A funding. The round was led by CRV, with participation from Flex Capital and Engineering Capital, bringing the company’s total funding to nearly $20 million.
Founded by Harjot Gill, former senior director of technology at Nutanix, and Gur Singh, who led development teams at Alegeus, CodeRabbit aims to streamline the code review process by leveraging advanced AI models. The platform promises to provide actionable, human-like feedback, contrasting with traditional static analysis tools that are often rule-based and prone to false positives.
CodeRabbit has been embraced by the developer community, achieving over $1 million in annual recurring revenue within less than a year, all while operating on a bootstrapped budget. We are eager to use this new funding to accelerate our growth, expand our team, and continue to innovate in the AI-driven code review space, according to a post on CodeRabbit blog
Nonetheless, CodeRabbit has garnered attention from around 600 paying organizations and is currently in pilot phases with several Fortune 500 companies. The new funding will support expansion efforts, including deeper integrations with platforms like Jira and Slack, and enhancements in security vulnerability analysis. CodeRabbit plans to grow its team and open a new office in Bangalore to bolster its sales, marketing, and product development efforts.
