Investment banking giant JPMorgan Chase has introduced LLM Suite, an AI-driven tool designed to enhance productivity in its asset and wealth management division. The new tool, reminiscent of ChatGPT, aims to assist employees with tasks such as writing, idea generation, and document summarization.
The introduction of LLM Suite was communicated through an internal memo, co-signed by key executives including Mary Erdoes, CEO of JPMorgan Chase’s asset and wealth management line of business, Teresa Heitsenrether, the company’s chief data and analytics officer, and Mike Urciuoli, the managing director. as reported by the Financial Times. This AI tool aims to boost productivity by integrating with internal systems that handle sensitive financial information.
The tool, capable of working with other internal systems handling sensitive financial information, is intended to increase general productivity within the division. Although JPMorgan has not officially announced the launch, the Financial Times reported that LLM Suite was released in early 2024 and made available to 15% of the workforce, or approximately 50,000 employees.
In 2023, JPMorgan showcased its dedication to AI by creating a tool that analyzes statements and speeches from the U.S. Federal Reserve for potential trading signals. This tool enabled analysts to identify policy shifts and offered early trading alerts.
