Meta AI Rolls Out In Six New Countries, Including Brazil And The UK
With nearly 500 million users globally, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that Meta AI is expected to become the most widely used assistant by the end of 2024.
Meta has expanded its AI chatbot, Meta AI, to six more countries: Brazil, the U.K., the Philippines, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Paraguay. This development is part of Meta's strategy to increase the global availability of its AI assistant. CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the expansion on his WhatsApp channel.
In a move to expand its global reach, Meta AI is set to launch in additional regions, including countries across the Middle East and Southeast Asia. By the end of this release cycle, Meta AI will be accessible in 43 countries and support over a dozen languages, including Arabic, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese.
Meta AI is available across several platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and the Meta.ai website. The chatbot has already attracted a global user base of nearly 500 million, and Zuckerberg stated that it is on track to become the most widely used virtual assistant by the end of 2024.
India remains Meta AI’s largest market, largely due to WhatsApp’s extensive user base in the country. Additionally, the company has been enhancing Meta AI with new features, such as celebrity voices, lip-synced translations, and generative AI-powered tools to create and edit photos using natural language prompts.
