In an act of solidarity and humanitarian support, chipmaker Nvidia, along with its global employees, has contributed a substantial $15 million to non-profit organizations aimed at assisting civilians impacted by the conflict between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas.

The generous donation, consisting of a collective $5 million from thousands of employees representing over 30 countries, was matched and doubled by Nvidia, resulting in a total of $10 million. This extraordinary donation marks the most significant humanitarian fundraiser in Nvidia's illustrious 30-year history.

"We are proud to see such broad support from Nvidia families in Israel and around the world and are grateful for their prayers and hope for the return of our colleague Avinatan Or, and the other hostages from Hamas captivity," expressed Gideon Rosenberg, Nvidia's Deputy General Counsel. "We are truly inspired by the genuine care of our employees around the world."

Among those captured by Hamas during the Nova music festival on October 7 was Avinatan Or, a 30-year-old engineer at Nvidia since April 2022, along with his girlfriend Noa Argamani and approximately 240 others. Although some individuals have been released since the incident, Or and others remain in captivity.

Nvidia employees chose to allocate their donations to several prominent organizations in the region, including Asor Fund (JGive), American Friends of Magen David Adom, Doctors Without Borders, Friends of United Hatzalah, IsraAID (US) Global Humanitarian Assistance, Jewish Agency for Israel, World Central Kitchen, and Zaka.

In addition to the financial contribution, Nvidia also extended support by donating hundreds of computers to families evacuated from Israel's northern and southern regions. Furthermore, the company provided thousands of hot meals from its Yokneam office cafeteria, emphasizing its commitment to aiding those affected by the ongoing conflict.

This generous contribution by Nvidia and its employees stands as a testament to their dedication to supporting humanitarian efforts and providing assistance to those impacted by the Israel-Hamas conflict.
