Voyage AI Develops RAG Tools To Reduce AI Hallucinations
The company provides flexible hosting options for its models, including on-premises, private cloud, or public cloud configurations, and offers fine-tuning services for clients seeking customized solutions.
Voyage AI, founded in 2023 by Stanford professor Tengyu Ma, is creating retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) tools aimed at reducing the inaccuracies often associated with AI-generated content, known as "hallucinations." A recent Salesforce survey found that half of employees are concerned about the reliability of their company’s AI systems.
Voyage AI’s RAG solutions improve search and retrieval accuracy by using vector embeddings to convert various data forms into numerical representations, which helps AI models better understand context. The company offers its technology to sectors like finance, coding, and legal, serving clients such as Harvey, Vanta, Replit, and SK Telecom.
The company has over 250 customers and recently raised $20 million in Series A funding, bringing its total funding to $28 million. This investment will enable Voyage AI to expand its model offerings and workforce. As the demand for reliable AI solutions increases, Voyage AI aims to enhance the accuracy of generative AI in business applications.
